Photography Workshops

Do you like photography? If you do, then Geopark Villuercas- Ibores- Jara is an area with unlimited possibilities. Not just the breathtaking scenery with mountains and rivers, deserted villages and ruins, but also the world of plants, animals and insects that you can capture with your camera. 

In a workshop we can help you to improve your results on bird photography, landscapes and macro as well. Or we can give you tips on composition matters or how to choose your subjects.

Because we know the area very well and know what's possible, we are able to help you to be creative with your camera. All photos on this website, with the exception of the photos in the links on the World Heritage List on the page "Extremadura", are made in Extremadura by Liesbeth and Henk, who are professional photographers and who also give also the workshops, 
We expect at our photography workshops that you are using a digital camera. Preferably an SLR, but that is not absolutely necessary. However, it is necessary that your camera has settings for aperture and shutter speed.

Our workshops start from a practical viewpoint.
Should you prefer a good piece of theory, please let us know. We can do that in our studio.

In this workshop studio we have equipment available, but it is even better if you bring along with your camera, a laptop with a photo-editing program on it. Then you can edit and save your results immediately.		 Practising

Our offer:

One-day workshops


Photography individually or with a group up to 4 people. Subject to availability all dates possible from October 1st until June 30th. Includes: coffee, tea and lunch. Transportation from a pre-determined collection point to the workshop studio at the excellent Casa Rural "Puerta Solana" in Solana, and transportation from the Casa Rural to a location for outdoor photography is also included.
Hours (for example): from 10.00 hours-18.00 hours. We start with an intake discussion during which the program of the day will be set.

Three-days workshops

Photography individually or with a group up to 4 people. Start dates: every date in January-May and October, November, December. Full board (2 nights, 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 2 dinners) in the excellent Casa Rural "Puerta Solana" in Solana, which is also the workshop studio and the starting point for the workshops.
Schedule (global): The first morning starts with an intake meeting, in which the program and the themes of the workshop will be discussed.
The daily schedule could be: practice and theory from 10.00 hours - 18.00 hours, short evaluation; on day one and day two dinner at 20.00 hours.
Transportation from the Casa Rural to a location for outdoor photography is included.
